ICFAI University, Jharkhand was ranked by the Times Higher Education (THE) for Impact Rankings 2021. It secured 46th rank on overall basis among the Indian Universities considering 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of United Nations. However with regard to the SDG of Quality of Education, the ICFAI University obtained a score in the range of 42.1 to 52.3, with 5th rank among the Indian Universities that were ranked and the second among the universities from the Eastern Region. The ICFAI University is the only one that is ranked by THE , among all the Universities of Jharkhand and among the 10 universities ranked from the Eastern Region, which includes both government and private universities.
The 2021 Impact Rankings is the 3rd edition and results were declared on 21st April 2021. It includes rankings of 1,115 universities from 94 countries.
Congratulating the entire team of faculty members of the University, Prof O R S Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the ICFAI University, Jharkhand said, “This is the first time our University was ranked by the reputed international organisation like the Times. We are proud of this coveted achievement and credit for this goes to our faculty members, who are committed to provide quality education to our students. Our initiative to leverage technology for academic delivery, by way of Swaadhay Digital Learning Management, during the COVID-19 times enabled effective teaching-learning to our students, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. Students of BTech and Diploma in Technology (Polytechnic) could do laboratory experiments from home, due to our collaboration with IIT,Delhi for Virtual Labs. ”. “We are equally appreciative of the co-operation extended by our students by adapting to Swaadhyay, despite infrastructural challenges like internet bandwidth in urban and rural areas , from where they have been attending the virtual classes”, added Prof Rao.
